I initially had a reverse cable, but have since purchased So I think that I now have the correct cable. I can hear / feel it spinning, but it dosent show up in Disk Management. But when I connect a HD to the card with the breakout cable the drive doesn't show up. ![]() The card now shows up in the BIOS / System Settings and also in Device Manager as "Dell 6Gbps SAS HBA", so that all seems good. I followed the instructions to flash the card and update the driver. ![]() I followed the instructions from here to flash it into IT Mode - SAS HBA crossflashing or flashing to IT mode, Dell Perc H200 and H310Įverything seemed to work fine (I think). After posting in the other thread, I picked up a Dell PERC H200 6Gb/s PCI-e SAS SATA 8-Port Raid Controller SAS2008 9210-8i 47MCV card. Working with raid cards is all new to me, so bear with me as I try to get this figured out.īasically, I need to add a couple additional HD's to my WHS 2011 server, but I ran out of SATA ports on the motherboard.
